As of December 31 2008, the Group owned stakes in 13 fertilizer manufacturers with a total capacity of 10.16 million tones. The Group has become one of the largest fertilizer producers in China.
The invested fertilizer producers manufactured nitrogenous fertilizer, phosphate fertilizers, potash fertilizer and compound fertilizers. The plants are built around the areas with rich raw material resources or with great market consumptions, which not only contribute an income stream with relatively low cost, but also provide strong support to fertilizer sales in our distribution network.
